Free Wi-fi for London 2012

By Kwon Young-Mok

Korean sports fans that go to London to watch the Olympic games could find it hard to use mobile networks. This is because it cost a lot of money to use 3G networks. Other foreigners would find the same problem as Koreans (hard to use mobile network).

But a deal between Westminster City Council and O2, the English cell phone service provider means we can use free wi-fi network in London's west end. Residents of London and visitors to London can use the wi-fi and share their pictures and events of Olympics by social network services in Oxford Street, Regent Street, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and so on.

O2, the wi-fi provider, recover the costs by advertising. Anyone can use the free wi-fi after completing a simple registration process.
